Living Lab 5

We’re thrilled to share that the 5th Living Lab of the LightSense project was successfully held last Friday, 10th March 2023, at Frederick University. Our partners presented their latest data and discussed the progress of the project, which aims to develop a smart grid lighting system for cities.

During the Living Lab, Antonis Kolokasis from Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) presented on “Policy Considerations”, highlighting the importance of regulatory considerations in developing sustainable energy solutions.

Dr. Nicolas Nicolaou from Algolysis presented on “Data Collection and Visualization Platform”, showcasing the capabilities of the platform in data management and analysis for the project.

Dr. Andreas Stavrou from Electricity Authority of Cyprus updated the team on the “LightSense Project Progress”, showcasing the advancements made in the project since its inception.

Dr. Michalis Agathocleous from Resoloupe presented on “Contribution in the project”, highlighting the company’s unique contribution towards the project.

Georgios Panaretou from Cyprus University of Technology presented on “Intelligent Distributed Optical Fibre Sensing for Next Generation Smart Grids”, showcasing the university’s research contribution towards the project.

Finally, Prof. Kyriacos Kalli from Cyprus University of Technology presented on the “Update on the field data”, providing insights into the data collected from the project.

The event ended with a final discussion.
