The LightSense project coordinator, Prof. Kyriacos Kalli (Cyprus University of Technology), presented on 26th April 2023 the paper titled “Application of machine learning on optical fibre distributed sensing for power line applications” at SPIE Optics + Optoelectronics 2023.
Also, two posters were presented by Dr. Andreas Ioannou (Cyprus University of Technology) and Prof. Michael Komodromos (Frederick University, Cyprus) with corresponding titles: “EAC power distribution line cable monitoring using state-of-the-art distributed sensing instruments” and “A method of fitting BOTDA data for the estimation of the brillouin frequency shift”.
